New Coupon Search Engine from Ask.com Saves Millions for Consumers

Strange as it might sound, none of the major search engines have yet stepped into the highly lucrative and incredibly popular coupon niche in a big way, at least Until recently. Ask.com was the first major search engine to establish an independent and comprehensive service for this purpose. In case you haven’t heard about it…
Ask Deals is a proprietary database of more than 1 million high-quality savings offers from national and local merchants across hundreds of product categories. Ask Deals scours the Web for all the deals available online – from savings on ‘skinny jeans’ to restaurant coupons – and organizes the best money-saving offers front and center on the results page, eliminating the need for consumers to search multiple sites or multiple coupon sites or search engine links to find their answer. The Ask Deals database is continuously refreshed and editorially refined, giving consumers the most up-to-date and highest-quality savings offers every time they search on Ask.
Initial reports indicate that Ask Deals has received a blockbuster response from shoppers looking to save on their everyday needs given the current state of the economy. Although Google continues to remain on the sidelines of the coupon and deals phenomenon, Yahoo has expressed some marginal interest in this niche through its search deals sub domain. Like Ask, Yahoo too has neatly categorized its coupon and deals information into logical categories such as computers and electronics, home and garden, and Yahoo Deal of the Day.
