Google's Search Market Share Touches an Impressive 64.9%
Jump Start News -- According to usage statistics released by comScore, Google’s share of the search engine market touched 64.9%, which is three times that of Yahoo currently positioned at a distant second.
During the month of September 2009, 64.9% of all searches conducted on the Internet were performed on Google’s various websites. This search volume happens to be three times that of Yahoo, a distant second runner. The figure marks an increase of 0.3% from the previous month. During August 2009, Google’s share was 64.6%. Bing’s share of search during September was 9.4%.
