Google All Set to Modify its Search Engine Algorithm
Jump Start News -- Senior Google engineer and Google’s informal spokesperson Matt Cutts has hinted at a recent SEO-SEM conference that a modification in the highly mysticized Google Algorithm is imminent and will be made available soon.
At the PubCon Conference held in mid November 2009 at Las Vegas, senior Google engineer Matt Cutts has hinted that site speed—the speed with which a website’s home page and linked web pages load—will soon be factored into the Google search engine algorithm. Cutts revealed that site speed has already been incorporated into the Quality Score algorithm for Google’s Adwords PPC program meaning that the higher the load speed of a website is, the better its Quality Score will be. Google uses more than 200 ranking factors to rank websites in its organic search. Many if not most of these ranking factors continue to remain shrouded in secrecy. This “pre announcement” gives webmasters, site owners and developers of new websites a window within which to work diligently in order to improve their websites’ hosting attributes and significantly improve load time.
